Default 95 900S automatic transmission problems

Hey guys!! i have a 95 900S 2.3L and im havin some problems....i was drivin to my friends house one day last week and all of a sudden the transmission went out of gear and Check Gear Box light came on!! Shut the car off for 5 or 10 minutes and it got me home! but it does the same thing...it will go for 5 or 10 minutes and then go out of gear but when i shut it off and turn it back on its fine?!? does this sound like the neutral safety switch?? or a sensor?? or just a screwed tranny?? lmk ok

normally the trans light will come on when you are low on fluid.all it is is a pressure sensor. is there no grinding popping out of gear harsh shifting?

well let me tell you when i first started having problems with the tranny! i noticed in the mornings when it was cold or the motor was cold that it would not go out of first gear....after awhile of driving it that way it would slowly catch into the other gear or the CGB light would come on and go into "limp home mode" its gotten worse from there! but i havnt noticed any slipping or hard shifting!

i could be a bad sensor . ive never had an trans go into limp mode it usually other things like the throttle position sensor, amm, map sensor, dirty throttle. but a bad sensor on the trans could cause this

I wish I was suited to answer automatic transmission questions...they'e about as simple to me as quantum mechanics. I've only ever owned one and it was the reason I only buy manuals...
