Default new stereo

Hi,

I got a new stereo in my 9-3 arc.
It is great-great sound.

except... so many problems.
Maybe it's the stereo installer- maybe it's the saab.
New head unit, speakers and amp. There is a hissing noise. There is a whining through the audio system when i accelerate. I lost my parking ***istance and blinker sound- he says they went with the stock radio. And the beep when my top is finished moving? Gone. [&o]
i am sad.
Help?
Comments?

Amps have a noise filter in them that blocks out the alternator whine. The kicker amps do not. You can purchase a filter just for that purpose at any car audio specialty store. I have also used a bigger cable for the ground wire for the amp. Going from 8 to 4 Gage will make a noticeable improvement.

For the parking ***istanceI am guessing something got unhooked but not sure.I can not see the radio controlling the sensors for the parking ***istance. The blinking sound does come from my speakers in my 06 so I am guessing it does have something to do with the radio.

Depending on the new deck, some pioneer decks use the antenna line as a 2nd ground. So you can use that line as a ground. The radio is grounded throught the same line as the alternator. As for the amp there could be a grounding issue between the pre outs (rca's) on the back of the deck. Another thing is to scrap a little paint from where you grounded the amp to increase better conductivity.

Sounds like a bad ground or termination somewhere. The should be able to fix that.
