I have '91, 900 convertible (turbo). The head gasket failed last winter so I replaced it, and had the head inspected, milled, valves ground, ($400 deal) prior to reinstallation (by me). Upon re-installation, all went well for a couple of weeks. Now I am puffing huge clouds out of the tail pipe again.??? I went back in and made sure the head bolts were properly torqued (yep) and also looked for tell tail signs on plugs, and piston crowns (nope). Next I tried a can of K&W metalic block seal in the coolant (nope). Not only am I still making clouds of steam from the tail pipe, but also notice water oozing out of the mating surfaces between the exhaust elbow and the turbo waste gate chamber. As of now, I'm in denial about cracked block or head, or a leaking head gasket. How aboutcoolant being introduced into the exhaust system by way of the turbo water jackets? Or...............?

well 150K miles is about time for a rebuild... there're a few ways you can go with this, but I recomend doing it yourself and sending out the wheels to get balanced... it will cost you around 150 if you go that route and you'll learn to do it.
