FAULT CODE P1171

i HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A '96 900 SE WITH EXTREMELY LOW KMS ON IT.HOWEVER THBE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, I HAVE HAD IT SCANNED AND IT HAS A FAULT CODE P1171 WHICH APPARENTLY MEANS IT IS LEANING OUT MIXTURE UNDER ACCELERATION.MY 1ST ACTION WAS TO CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER, BEING THE CHEAPEST SPOT TO START,THEN PROGRESSING UNTIL I FIND THE ROOT CAUSE.HAS ANYBODY ELSE HAD THIS EXPERINCE?
