Default heater doesn't get hot

I have a 1996 9000 turbo - just had the thermostat changed and my heater still hardly blows out hot air. Any ideas?

Check your coolant level first. May be even bleed the system

Does the car run at the correct temp ? if so then your new stat is ok.
You may have created an air lock in the heater system which is easy to do.
You should fill your system slowly and when nearly full start engine and turn heater on to Max and then fill to level.
Replace cap on cooling system and run until temp shows normal operating temp.
Turn off and allow to cool for 1/2Hr or until safe to remove filler cap and recheck level.
Another answer is to flush the system with a cleaner from your motorist centre with the heater set to full and fan on, drain and refill.
I hope this helps you out.

Thanks. We do have enough coolant in it. I will try the latest suggestion.
