Default Neutral Safety Switch

Several times my saab wouldn't start until after a waiting period. Then that waiting period ended, the car did not start. Everything lead to the Neutral Safety Switch. I ordered the part and installed it, followed directions to the "T". Car still won't start........ Any ideas..... Desperately seeking help

I beleive the neutral safety switch is on the steering column or if its a standard, on the shifter ***embly. I never heard of a neutral safety switch inside a transmission, lol. Check the steering column or the shifter cable in the center console.

Default No Start

Bobby,
Is it safe to ***ume that your car is a 9-3 between 1993 to 2003? If so, Try to move the shifter slightly back and forth slowly (foot on the brake!) while turning the key. Try at "Park" and at "Neutral". If you hear the starter engage then you need to re-align the "neutral switch". Good Luck.
