question on a 2001 saab 9 3 se convertible.

I just purchased my 1st Saab with 70k miles .I had it inspected which basically needed no repairs and the mechanic kinda raved about how great of shape it was in-very well taken care of. One problem was you cant read the stereo display or what i think is called the SID . The first day i was driving it on the highway when i went 70mpd i started getting a annoying beeping coming from console louder than my stereo.

Next day wasn't driving on the highway buy when i went 50mph same beeping happened.Is this common or is it an issue? i noticed in the owners manual there's a speed warning in the SID.Hope this isnt a dumb question..

That is only the SID telling you that you are going faster than speed warning is set for.

Go to speed warning and press and hold set until it starts blinking ... then press + or - to reset to your preferred speed.
