Default Saab parts VS universal

I have a 99 saab 93. I have been told I need to replace my front strut mounts and was quoted at $1200 where at another place I was quoted at $800 dollars. When I asked about the huge price difference, the first place informed me that they use Sax parts where the second uses Monroe parts, a non saab specific manufacturer. Should I save the money and go with the universal parts? Or should I go to the saab specific mechanic that uses the saab specific parts?
