Default Tranny Slipping In A 1992 9000

I have a 1992 9000 S that is having a tranny problem I believe. The car is an automatic with 136K.

When I have it in D at lower speeds under 40 MPH the car shifts fine. When I get it up over 45 the rpms jump up until I press the gas pedal down a bit and then it shifts. Then a couple seconds later it slips again another tap of the gas pedal and it shifts.

When I drive the car in 3 there is no slipping at all.

I just had the tranny flushed and it seemed to help a bit. I did not have them do the filter. I have it at a tranny place now and they said they would try adding more pressure to the tranny. Has anyone heard of this?

Any ideas on what might be happening?

Thanks for your input

Well they adjusted some cable and the pressure in the tranny and it seems to be fine for the time being ($80.00). When I had the fluid flushed I did not change the filter. Now that it is running fine should I change the filter? Or does the flush take out most of the junk in the filter? Just hate to mess with it if it is running fine.

Thanks
