Default 60,000 mile service

Hi there,

I just signed up today and figured to find out some information. I have a 9-5 Aero , 4 cyl and got the "time for service" on the computer. Upon calling saab, I was told the service is going to be around $800. My question is , can a regular tune up be apt instead of taking the car to the dealer and shelling out that much money? I am aware of the serpentine belt etc, which is another part of my question...ive heard that saab has to honor the first 60k mile belt change for free regardless of how money owners drove the car. In my case im the second owner and have no service card that came with it... any suggestions info much appreciated...
thanks
Matt.
