hey guys i have a a 1995 900 with a 2.5 v6.

i really love the car. it has low miles, and was maintained like a shoe box, but it seems to work fairly well.

the car i can tell constantly needs attention. whether it be suspension issues, fuel issues, transmission issues, electrical issues, and whatever else can and will happen. it drives like a slug and does not idle perfect.

but i will not say that it is unreliable, bad craftsmanship, or quality of parts.

its just merely 15 years old. things happen. gotta baby it i guess.


i do all the work on it so far, but i need to do these things:

1-get the damn thing inspected (check engine light is on)
2-change the timing belt soon( i think)
3-check on that bad idling, whether it be idle control valve or whatever
4-CV joint is really getting messy
5-engine ticks (sounds like hydraulic lifters)
6-change alternator

DAMN i got a lot to do.

but i have already done a good amount:

1-new sparks, filters, battery, bulbs, etc
2-transmission serviced
3-struts, bearings, bushings, tie rods, links, etc
4-brakes, rotors, serviced calipers, bled brakes,
5-10k miles ago timing belt(but its acting funny so uh oh...)
6-maintained waterproofing on the convertible canvas.
7-cleaned many switch contacts(many more to go)

what else to do!!?

i think first my next move will be the alternator. that thing is being a pain in the *** on the voltage output.
