2003 93 transmission problems - Saab Forums

I am having a big problem - I have had a 2003 93 for about 4 months. In that time, the dealership has replaced both speed sensors (input and output) on the transmission. What happens is the car goes into 'limp home' mode, then taken to the dealer. I am at my whits end wit this thing! The last time to the dealer they told me I might have to replace the entire transmission!! Hard for me to believe a 2003 with 62000 miles needs a trans!

Any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions?

Your car should still be under the warranty, right?

I have an 03 9-3 also that just hit 60k and my tranny did the same thing a few months back...I drove down the street and it went into the "limp home mode" so i drove home, let it sit for an hour or so and started it back up and everything was fine......I called the dealer and they told me that it did this because the prior weekend my car was started, moved a couple feet and shut off a bunch of times ( let roomates and stuff leave)...they said because the car was never driven and just started and moved a couple feet like 10 different times in a day that it screwed with the tranny..its fine now(knock on wood)......does your still have issues??
