Default 9-3 turbo swap

hi i have a 01 9-3 se 2.0 turbo and my turbo is making a whop whop whop sound when i letoff the gas my teacher at uti says its the bearings in the turbo its also leaking oil now what im wondering is can the aero hi output turbo be used on the regular 9-3 with a normal turbo or will i need to upgrade the injectors and such also can i buy a rebuild kit and rebuild it myself? thanks in advanced

As far as I can find dealing with my own turbo problems, rebuilding the turbo is a quite a task and you must have specialized tools to rebuild correctly. Used and rebuilt turbos are all over the internet for between $100 and $600.

I also found that you can use the Mitsubishi turbo from the Viggen in the Garrett models with one line and banjo bolt modifications, but do not expect a HP gain with out having the ECU reflashed.
