Default 93 engine swap?

ok guys ive been doin my research and come to find out the pontiac solstice and the saturn ion redline both have almost the exact same engine as the 2.0T saab 93's without the (T8) computer messing up everything performance wise...I was wondering If it would be possible to do a engine swap with one of the pontiacs or saturns 2.0 liters and mod them since both of them can easily be modded up past 300 HP...its a idea...ROTO can this be done?

ummm....anything can be done with the right amount of money...just tell me WHY? You're going to spend more money for new engine plus mods that the existing engine plus mods...

Look into maptun. They have many upgrades in stages. First stage is basically a piggy back but yields close to 35 hp! Definately cheaper than buying an ecotec out of one of those cars just to mod! The pb are around $800-1000 and stages go up from there. The mech that I found to work on my car highly recomends them. By the time you buy the engine and mod it you prob could be stage 2 or 3 pushing close to a 30% increase in hp. I know my car stage 3 puts it close to 245 hp, which would be a 40% increase in hp!

well, I seriously would stay away from an ecotec...if anything I'd swap an earlier 4 cyl turbo saab engine in it. Or you could always go custom andhave one-off parts done for you. Either direction you go it WILL be VERY expensive. Out of my pricerange for sure and I'm finishing a complete rebuild of the car. The ecotec swap after all said and done will be in the 10K area. If you decide to work with what you have and do your research (that probably means buying a second motor that you build while your old one is still in the car) you may be one of the few people that did anything to that generation car. There is a lot you can do to upgrade your stock internals, you can shot-peen the rods, you can get the psitons coated, you can get all the parts cryotreated... it takes a lot of money and time to build a unique car... if you really want something unique with an engine swap than why not o all the way and swap in the mitsu evo engine along with retrofitting AWD? That there is unique for a saab, probably the first ever, but yet very expensive...

hmm yea imma check out that maptun.com site but im havin trouble followin the site I get the idea its from another country but I could be wrong..I found the page where it has the levels and what to do...the first stage is software I guess that will reprogram turbo or w/e..but I dont know where a "buy now" button is..and for ROTO haha a EVO engine in a 93 would truely be sick...and 4WD would be acceleration off the line id love to feel...but engine mods wont be for a while till im finished with my sound system bein installed...thanks for help guys

maybe someday guys?
