I don't have a manual that tells me when to service the transmission. I wanted to know at what mileage do I do this, and what type of fluid is required. Also, is there a filter in the transmission...I was going to do a "BG" flush which exchanges the used fluid with new fluid via a line hookup. Any advice???????????????????????????????????????????? ????????

dexron 2 atf, change fluid and filter every 30,000 miles if you drive mostly on the highway, every 15,000 miles if you drive in the city/hot climates/ or drive like a madman.
the flush is good at getting the old fluid in the torque converter but not good if you want to inspect the quality of your transmission (eg.metal flakes in fluid)
