Default door lock

Hi there

Can anyone help me, my drivers door lock unlocks but when you pull on handle to get in it wont open (as if its still locked). Its a 52 plate saab 93, new shape.

It opens from inside of car, but not from outside, you hear it unlock, the plunger comes up like all other doors, but when you pull on external handle it acts like its locked.

there has to be a couple of bolts on the bottom of the panel, at least one in the door hande, one under the lever to open the door and I think the rest are just clips

My experience with this problem has been a bent inside door handle that eventually breaks completely off, but before doing so it gets harder and harder to release the latch.
Another possibility is kiddo lock but this would be unusual on a driver door unless the handles and locks had been swapped over at some stage. It is usually fitted in back doors so children can't open the door in a moving car.
