Default Downpipe flex pipe went bad

Yesterday a big leak from the front of the engine started ,looking down at the pipe i discovered that flex pipe on downpipe almost completely came off from the steel pipe to catalytic.I think i need complete new downpipe ,but now i need a temporary cheap fix.
Any ideas?I thinking about getting a piece of flex pipe at autozone and connect it with the clamp on both sides(not really sure if its possible),or just try to connect the old pipe on one side using some muffler tape and clamp as well.

Default RE: Downpipe flex pipe went bad

you could put a piece of pipe with two U-bolt clamps there... will be quite a bit of work though. I recommend getting a performance downpipe for replacement. My genuinesaab version2 actually even eliminates the second flex pipe...well woth it in my opinion.
