In my other post I said I'm a newbie to Saabs. I wasn't kidding
I'm just curious what the maintinence schedules are like.
How often should I flush and fill transmission fluid (auto trans), fuel filter, oil changes, spark plugs, etc, etc.
Ours is a '04 9-3 Arc Convertible (2.0 Turbo) with an Automatic Transmission.
Any help is much appreciated. TIA!

Auto tranny service as per owners manual. The oil changes I wouldn't do less often than 5K miles. Use a saab filter and good synthetic oil. Check out www.eeuroparts.com for maintainance items. The spark plugs (you're gonna hate me for this) MUST be the correct NGKs gapped to .39 I believe. This car is very sensitive to the spark plug gap, so I'd regap every 15K miles. Pay attention to the serpantine belt and it's tensioneer as that is a 60K mile service item.

I got lucky... Our Check Engine Light Came On within warranty (49,459mi), and they replaced the spark plugs (since that was the problem)... Only thing is that it needs a serpentine belt and tensioner... Oh well, at least I got plugs done for free... Already got a belt and I'm going to order the tensioner tomorrow...
