Anyone any ideas why my 9-3 saloon 2.2tid (52 reg) new shape rear suspension sounds very noisy, like a hollow sound when crashing over bumps, it has covered 120k. I have had ball joints on many cars before, but nothing sounding like this, is there any routine maint required anywhere on suspension??

As much as I hate to tell you this....it's normal when cold weather is outside. The only remedy is poly bushings for the rear...and they're not exactly easy to find...
