I am new to this forum and am hoping you can help me. My wife just bought a used 2007 Saab 9-3 with the Bose soundsystem. The stock speakers are dreadful and boring, and i really want to upgrade them. I have been told by the local stereo shop that the bose system is tricky, and the amps have the crossovers in them to restrict bandwidth to the speakers, as well as that each amp runs at different resistance ratings. he said anywhere from 1 ohm to 10 ohms. with this in mind, i double checked the 3.5" in the trunk, hoping to see an ohm rating, but no such luck. does anyone have any specific information on this so I can make the correct decision on new speakers? I really want to go with JL audio C2 setup, but want to make sure the 4 ohm rating on them will work with this crappy bose setup.
thank you in advance.

ok, since ***ody seems to know the speaker information, can someone provide me with a website, or book, or phone number where i can see the wiring setup and specs on the amps?
It's a Bose system. You can either take everything out, and start from scratch, or live with it. They tend not to give out that type of information, just because they are that type of company.
