My 2000 Saab 9-5 turbo driver's side window motor has failed and the window is in the down position. Can a non-mechanic take on the job of fixing it or should I take it to a mechanic?

well if you're handy with tools - sure you can do it. There's drilling and rivets involved though if I remember correctly. Ever used a rivet run? It's very easy...
