Default Electrical system

I have a 2001 95 wagon SE... every time I turn off my high beams I get the chimes that says "front head light failure." But when I check the lights they're fine. I have also gone thru 6 bulbs in the last 18 months, both front and back. Any thoughts to solving this issue?

Thanks for all replies,
J.

it sounds almost like you have too high of power being sent to the lights...have you checked with dealership to see if this may be a common issue?

They're the ones who installed the bulbs.

then take it back and complain.. if they give you a hard time, ask for a corporate number.

Don't touch your bulbs. The oil from your fingers is what is blowing out your bulbs prematurely use rubber gloves or very thin cotton ones. This will greatly prolong the life of the bulb...Trust me been there many times with my 9-5
Good luck.
