THE PERFORMANCE OF MY OTHERWISE EXCEPTIONAL SAAB (AFTER READING OTHER SAD STORYS) HAS BEEN GREATLY MARRED BY MY TOP THAT BECOMES JAMMED. MY MECH SAYS ITS THE MOTOR BUT IT SEEMS TO WANT TO WORK DESPARATELY. I BELEIVE ITS SOMETHING WITH THE GEARS. ANY WHO- IS IT POSSIBLE TO RIG IT FOR MANUAL USE. COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MY BABY'S LIFE OR MY SOCIAL DEATH. THANKS FOR WHATEVER INPUT!

 

I have read about the issues with your year and roof. There is a program that runs the roof and sometimes it requires recalibration, if it fails to calibrate then one of the sensors that are a part of the roof system has failed. Take it to the nearest saab or even volvo dealer and ask them to recalibrate your roof.
