Default tinny radio

Well had my car at 2 different saab specalists and they say it sounds ok and is normal...
But then i pointed out to them it has the 2 speakers ineach front door doing nothing, thats not normal.
Will these 2 speaker makes a big difference to the Bass or I am i wasting more money trying to resolve a crap radio???
What over options are available to me to improve the sound etc??

Thanks

I was thinking the same thing as well, is that the one under passenger seat??
Is this expensive??
Is it right that basic saabs come without the door speakers? I think this is what is confusing so called specalists, they are assuming its a not got speakers in the doors, and because of that saying that the sound is normal, it goes back into to the garage to get air bag module on Friday so they are going to look again now they know there are speakers in the doors!!
Would they make a big difference to the sound (mainly bass)?

I owuldn't know if it will make a big difference - I'm one of those with a base model with no door speakers. That amp from the dealer would be expensive, but I'm sure any competent ICE place would be able to replace it with an aftermarket.

Not sure if this makes a difference anymore, but...

If they are the 6.5 inch speakers in the driver/passenger doors, they make a huge difference. The amp is set to send only the bass freqency to those speakers and that's where almost all of your bass will derive from, especially if everything is stock. Like Roto said, a replacement amp from the dealer would be pretty expensive and you could go to a car stereo shop and pick one up for less. Better yet, find out which one you should get and buy it off Ebay.
