02 9-3 new fuel pump= red tubing = where does it connect?
 

Installed a new fuel pump in my 02 9-3 convertible today. Red tubing from fuel pump and didn't notice while taking apart where it was connected. Is this some kind of breather tube or should it be connected somewhere. Looked and can't find a connection. Also line up mark on fuel pump and car and now gas gauge is off. Any help would be great. Thanks
