03 9-3 2.0t with stutter at high boost.
Hello,
I have a 03 9-3 2.0t that just started to get a stutter at high boost. When the stock turbo gauge goes into the red/orange during hard acceleration the engine stutters. As long as I keep it out of the red/orange it runs and accelerates just fine. Then the other day while I was duplicating the problem for a friend this time after it stuttered it set off the check engine light with the code for a misfire on cylinder 3. I pulled the battery cable to clear the code and took it for a test drive. The engine didn't stutter or the engine light come on till I accelerated hard again and the gauge went into the red/orange. I don't think that the misfire in cylinder 3 is the cause of the problem, but the after affect of whatever is causing the stutter. I think it might be a waste gate issue, the boost control valve, or maybe a vacuum leak??? I'm not really sure so any information or help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Check to see if the wastegate rod is still connected to the Turbo theres a clip that holds it sometimes it breaks disconnecting the wastegate from the turbo. The bypass valve can be checked with a vacuum/compression tool.
