Engine light Coolant leak
 

So about 2 months ago I received coolant low on alert on my dash. So I refilled the coolant and it has been fine. Last night I noticed that my engine temp was still on cool even though I had been driving 40 min already. My upper vents on the dash above the radio were not blowing air at all. Then this morning I got an engine light. It also took about 1 hour of driving before my temp gauge was showing normal between 1/2 and 1/4. I popped the hood and I can see a visible coolant leak but it is still half full from 2 months ago. I am wondering if this slow leak has anything to do with this engine light. Unfortunately I wont be able to get a code until after work and I will not have any internet at home so I was wondering if anyone else has had these issues so that I could possibly get some small parts to test them out after I get home.
