Help, clutch problems. '95 900SE Turbo.
I'll do my best to explain, I've been all over then internet trying to find answers. I bought my '95 900SE Turbo from my grandparents for 2k We love the car, it's a ton of fun. Now onto my clutch problem, the clutch has to be all the way to the floor to change gears, and the clutch engages as soon as I lift up on the clutch pedal. Maybe a couple of inches to work with. But the clutch seems to engage well. No obvious slipping and will take off under it own power(for the most part) a buddy of mine adjusted the clutch cable, and that seemed to help a little bit. I called a shop about replacing the clutch assembly and they quoted me 2k, I would do it myself, but have been told I have to remove the entire sub frame of the car. I cant tell if i need a new master/slave cylinder(which I recently found out the slave cylinder is in the bell), and I would do the whole clutch anyway while I was in there, or if i just need a new cable. Any, and I mean any advice or info would be appreciated. I love our Saab, and would like to keep it. I hope someone has answers. I'll do my best to answer any questions that would help me solve this problem.
