Manual Transmission Fluid

My tech just completed a clutch job on my 1997 900SE Convertible. They are calling for Saab synthetic transmission fluid. We are about 2 hours from the nearest dealer. Is there another brand I can use?

i get all my oils through ebay, saves alot of travelling
