question about wheels
ok ive put aftermarket wheels on my car...black with a chrome lip...on APRIL 1st a paint shop is going to paint the chrome merlot to match my car ( ill post pics) but they were talkin about not being able to paint the bolts ( i have like 20 chrome bolts going around outside of my rim) for whatever reason they probably wont be able to paint them...so I was wondering If I could maybe buy touch up paint from saab and do it myself...(i hear paint wont stick to chrome) idk enough about -paints or painting chrome so am wondering if anyone knows a way to do it(the people at paint shop said they will have to sand chrome off and apply something so when they paint it it will not come off...if I paint the bolts will it be ok? is their a easier way?anyone have experience with painting???

RE: question about wheels
why not powdercoat the wheels? Some shops do color match to the car...

RE: question about wheels
hmm well I already got the appointment for the wheels to be painted...so I guess I can take the bolts somewhere and have them paint it to match my car...

RE: question about wheels
can't you just sandblast the chrome finish off of the bolts?
|
RE: question about wheels
I guess I can have that done...once the lip gets painted imma takeit somewhere and get sandblastin done (the place I am goin to doesnt do much) i dont think they have a sand plasting tool or are they able to powder coat anything...
