SRS! HELP!! 96 900s

I have a used 1996 900S saab and no manual came with it. On the dashboard controll screen it says SRS right by the odometer and gas gauge. What does this mean?

Sounds like Safety Restraint System. The air bag or bags may have been deployed at one time & the code not erased of the computer. It could be something else, though I'm not sure what.

As far as I know many times the SRS light means that the "clockspring" in the steering column is bad.

as I have come to find out it could also mean a faulty seatbelt pretensioneer or simply that any one of the seats has been taken out...reset at the dealer using the tech2
