I have a 06 9-3 Aero with a factory installed Nav system. When I was told that I would be receiving updated DVD maps during the warranty period. A year later I was told that I was misinformed and that is not true. Furthermore (and far worse) I was told by both the GM Nav disc center and SAAB that the navigation system will no longer be supported and owners would not even be able to purchase updated DVD’s. Needless to say I am flabbergasted by this and am driving around with very old data. Has anyone else run up against this?

 

Have you tried sending a letter to corporate?

 

I did indeed. I called them and opened a ticket with them twice. Each time they told me that they WILL NOT be supporting the Nav system. They refered me back to the dealer and he did not have a clue.

 

As much as I hate to say this, but you will probably need to file a complaint with the BBB.

 

I sent you a PM of how u can get the NAV info ...idk if it will help or not

Thanks. Do you know if this is the latest info? I tried a disc from an 08 and it was not compatable with the system.

 

well, if noise makes GM fix things it's for the good. This wouldn't have heppened in a pre-GM saab.
