2000 9-5 Aero - starting problems

My wife bought a used 9-5 Aero last August and we have both been extremely impressed with this car.
How they do what they do with a 4 cylinder turbo on a relatively heavy car is amazing - and it's handles like a sports sedan with good gas mileage on top of all of that!
But - not everything is great. We received a recall from Saab indicating a possible problem with the ignition discharge module and within 2 weeks we had a problem. We were out on the town and had stopped for 15-20 minutes. When we returned the car would not start - just as if the car was in "drive"; the dash lights all came on but the starter did nothing.
After trying things like rocking the car in drive and reverse with no luck, all of a sudden it decided to start just like normal. We drove home, stopped for 5-10 minutes and it did it again. We took it to Saab and they said the recall didn't affect this car; the discharge module was fine. In the next several weeks the problem reoccurred and went away several times. I should add that this car has approximately 165,000 highway miles. Still half of it's life remaining, right?
There have no codes recorded in the car's computer and no apparent problems with the ignition switch or transmission lockout switch. We're stumped and frustrated.
Anybody have any ideas what the cause may be?

Best to get it shown at the service station. They will know!
