2003 Saab 9-3 convertible no crank no start just single click
 

Hello I have 2003 Saab 9-3 convertible. Few weeks back I was leaving from wear I was from and car was slow to turn over. Drive it home about 40 miles turned car off and tried restart it and all I got was single click since than every time I try to start it. That night I kept key turned over for min trying start it and smelled like burning wire or plastic but car still just clicked the one time why doing it. Any suggestions? I figured it either starter or engine is seized. Anybody tell me how I can tell which one it is?
