Flexing
Best bet is not to remove the inner liner if you can bend it out of the way enough to remove the trannie. BECAUSE the wheel well trim is held on by those 8mm nuts you see around the inside of the wheel well, They strip. Almost every time. And guess what? You cannot get the studs seperately. No, you have to buy a new wheel well trim and nuts. Besides that, they put that stupid nut on the top of the starter to be unbolted from the other side. You will see what I mean. I found the best way to get to it is with a 17mm distributor wrench, which loops around the bell housing, to break it loose then remove it the rest of the way with my fingers. Good Luck
