Hello at all,

I am Dominik , 32, from Dortmund, Germany and just found this page and registered. I do own a Saab 9000 2.3 Turbo since Febuary. I have wanted to own a Saab for couple of years now, but on one hand, i did not have the courage to buy one and get into the risk of a Turbo-Charged car (what some might say) and on the other hand when i was looking for a new used car, just automatic transmission models were avaible but i sure wanted a manual one.

Hm what else could I say? To me i am a educated car and truck mechanic from Dortmund. I have learned to repair cars at a Mercedes-Benz dealer here in town. We have repaired cars and trucks there. My hobbies have always been cars at all. And music. Lots of Music. My main music interest is Rock music in almost any way. I am a real Elvis Fan for example and i do like Oldies more then modern music, although not normal for my age.
When i was 9 years old, i have started to dance Rock n Roll. I have gotten into the 2nd best dance class in Rock n Roll before i have ended this. I have danced this for about 18 years.

Well, my Car history. My first car was a Mazda 121 , maybe called Festiva in the UK (maybe also as Ford). I have driven this one for about 2 years. Then, because i was working at Mercedes, i have driven a Mercedes 190 E 2.0 Automatic. This was followed by a Citroen XM Turbo D12, BMW 325tds touring, Ford Mondeo 24V, BMW 525tds touring, BMW 535i Automatic, BMW 740iA E38, Audi A6 2.5 TDI quattro, Mercedes E430 and now, finally, i got this Saab 9000 2.3 Full-Turbo.

What to say about my Car? Well, its a Full Turbo 2.3 Liter 9k, 263.000 km (about 164.000 mls). Its a baby blue metallic paint. Inside it has been black leather equipment, Saab Information System, Drivers Airbag, electric sunroof.

Since i own it i have had to do some things:
- renewing all vacuum pipes
- TCS Control System renewed
- Left Light Wiper engine changed


And i have a main problem with the Saab - the fabric on the roof liner hangs down deeply. I have tried to renew it with alcantara (like fake suede) leather skin, but the glue wasnt the best so i have to do it again.

For the the eye i have changed my black, sorta worn looking leather seats changed with beige seats and door plates. Looks soo much better.
And thats the reason why the roof liner will become creme coloured as well.

The rear shelf became black alcantara. The liftable part in the trunk (what covered the emergency wheel) is in black alcantara as well. The A columns (beside the dashboard) are in alcantara creme yet.

Besides that some other stuff will come next into or onto my Saab:
- renew the roof liner with creme coloured alcantara leather skin
- the other parts inside of the trunk will become in black alcantara
- the inside of the trunk door (the part with fabric on) will become in black alcantara as well
- The C columns (near the back headrests) will get creme alcantara
- The B colums (where the seatbelts are) will get creme or black alcantara - whatever looks better.
- And if it fits, i will renew the original handholds with foldable ones from the Saab 9-5 (got them here, just need to see if they fit)
- maybe later on it will get a chip tuning as well, but not now
- Tomorrow the 9k will get 3-Spoke Alloys

I think thats all for now, hope to hear from anyone about my ideas and so on.
