Hello all...newbie with a question
 

Hey everyone, I'll admit, I'm really only joining because I'm trying to get my Dad into a Saab 9-2X before this 'Employee Discount for Everyone' sale runs out. I'm into all sorts of cars, though I am an American car fan first and foremost. Anyways, I was wondering about a concern my parents had about Saabs. They heard that Saab will not honor your warranty unless have all maintenance performed by them. Is this true? My Dad likes to change his own oil and such so when he heard that he got angry, but it sounds kind of dumb to me and not likely to be true. I can't find anywhere that will prove or disprove this, so I figured I'd ask some Saab owners. Thanks for any replies.

Now that GM has extended this sale, I think I'm going to give the service department at a nearby Saab dealer a call. Probly won't get to that till Friday though, so if anyone has any input, that would be appreciated.
