My 1st Saab, 2000 9-3 se! performance questions!!!
Hello There,
I just purchased a silver 2000 Saab 9-3 se in beautiful condition with 106K miles. (pics soon!) I am already in love with this car and I'd like to know what to expect perfomance-wise and driveability-wise with basic mods like K&N-type cold air, mid-pipe and/or hi-flow muffler, etc. I also own a 2001 mustang gt with quite a few bolt-ons, and used to own a 1997 pontiac gtp coupe with exhaust, k&n and s/c pulley, so I am not a stranger to that type of thing! I don't want to go crazy with mods as it is my daily driver; but I'm always looking for cost-effective ways to improve performance. So, as a new Saab owner and a first time turbocharged vehicle owner, I kindly ask for your better knowledge of these vehicles!! Any input and insight is greatly appreciated!! Thanks! :D |
take a look at genuinesaab.com, they've got quite a few parts for that car. Also you can upgrade the software and that'll make a huge difference.

Thanks a million! wow, it's impressive what a good tune can do with minimal mods!
|
If you want - buy a spare ECU and with a little info from you I can flash it to stage 1

I appreciate the offer! I may take you up on that one of these days! Check out pics of my new ride in my albums, everyone please tell me what you think. took these with my phone cam, can't wait to get some real pics up soon...you should see her in person!!!! :D btw, looking at my motor, is this a T7? And what does HOT mean? lol, sorry i'm a newb! or a neewb to say in saab-ish!:p

It is a Trionic 7 and HOT = high output turbo which should mean that you have a TD04HL-15T
