"MY" First Saab :)
 

Just Wanted to shout out a big HELLO to everyone on this forum.

My name is Joe and I'm dealing with all the adventure that goes with getting a 1st time driver on the road. My son recently got his license, and after looking for a decent deal, and the ratings of any car I came across, I decided to go Saab.

I purchased an '06 9-3 2.0 on Friday at wholesale. Not sure if it's T or t. It has 116,000 miles on it and runs like a top. My son is thrilled with it and so is everyone else.

It didn't come with an owners manual but I ordered one on E-Bay today for 20 bucks.

Not even sure what packages/options it was ordered with yet.
It has the HID headlights, foglights, moonroof, and the upgraded stereo (I think)

My buddy has recently been in the same situation as me with 2 young drivers, and two Saabs to match, a 9-5 and a 2003 9-3. He has been helping out with the quirks unique to my vehicle, which is a big advantage. I also have a Saab dealer close by that I hopefully won't need very often,

So far I buffed out a hazed over headlight (it came out nice ), Did an oil change, and put new brake pads on the front. (It needed them).

The car looks, feels, and runs very solid and I'm hoping I get at least a few years out of it. Paid about 3 grand for it 'as is' so I feel I can afford to throw a few bucks at at right now and still be ahead of the game.

OK, Question Time, Are there any common issues/problems that I should be looking for or addressing at this time? I have one or two that I know of, but I'll post up in the correct forum for that.

Wow. Saab enthusiast forum ? I post up and all I get is an advertisement after two weeks. Doesn't look like a whole lot of enthusiasm here.
