New Owner of 2002 SE convertible FRONT seat moves only a small amount at time

Hi I am buying a 2002 or 2003 (Mk2) Se convertible. It has an air bag light and a/c issue but most annoying is the drivers seat only moves a small amount every time the control is hit. What is the fix and could it also affect the air bag light?
