Hi everyone!

My wife and I are currently looking for a second car and test drove a saab for the first time today. Now we are only looking at buying a saab as we loved it!
We are looking around new york for a 99-2001 9-3 or 9-5 and would like to spend no more than 5k. We'd like to join the saab community and I had a few questions.
Besides normal things to look at on a used car, what specifically should I be inspecting on Saabs that are known problem areas?
Any forum members with well taken care of saabs for sale?

Hi I have owned two Saabs and the only problems I am aware of is that oil sludging in the oil pan can occour resulting in major engine failure, how ever this is a problem that Saab themselves are aware of an I believe have a program to fix problem. But that said if correct service interals are adhered to and correct oil used they are nothing but pure pleasure. I currently have a 9-5 with the 2.3 ltr turbo and love it in every way. good luck
