Out side temperture reading

Hi - my wife and I just bought a 2004 Saab 9 3 Aero convertible. The outside temperature stopped showing on the SID. We still see the date, time and radio station we are playing but the outside temperature no longer shows. Any ideas, the car has 144,000 miles.

Possibly the temp sensor in the front bumper is dead/got disconnected?

Thanks - I have ordered a new sensor - hope to have it this week.
