Default Saab 93 2003 Turbo convertible no start intermittent

My Saab 93 began to just not want to start. No turn over. Totally random times.
I've changed the crankshaft position sensor. An Auto electrician put a start button on the relay switch under steering wheel which puts a direct 12 volt to the starter solenoid and gets me out of trouble but I would rather find the problem and get it fixed.
Everyone I ask just doesn't know.
The car doesn't play up when I've taken it to the garage.
Nothing comes up on the diagnostic computer. So I'm stuck.
Could it be the....
1. Starter switch.
2. Immobiliser
3. Gear selector
??????
Any suggestions please.
Xx

Default Neutral Safety Switch

I had this problem with my 2003 9-3 convertible before it died of other causes. I now have a 2002 that is starting to show the same symptom. It was definitely the neutral safety switch on the other car, because I used a work around that someone had posted and never had the problem again. The NSS prevents the starter from trying to engage when the car is in gear. The workaround was to disable the NSS. Not a purist solution to be sure but it should work if that is the problem. If you do it for a temporary solution until you decide to fix it properly, just don't try to start the car when driving or in gear. It will try to start and make that chattering sound against the moving ring gear. Sorry, I don't remember the details. It involved finding particular electrical pins to jump around the switch somehow. It is probably still available in a post and you could look it up.

When I bought my brand new 93 aero on several occasions it would not start. Dealer replaces various parts no fix. Then one day a tow truck driver arrives open the hood and predded the reset button on the battery. Fixed it. Several times later at random times years later too same thing would happen. No start, Pressed the reset button and it always worked
