Switching manual climate control to electronic
 

I have a 1999 Saab 9-3 and the fan switch just stopped working. The knob is fine so I'm assuming it's the rod behind that is known for breaking. I was wondering if it's possible to switch from the manual controls to the digital/electronic controls that also came in that year?
