Default Veteran Saab 9-3 Owner - Saab Overboard

This is my first posting. Can anyone assist me with my issue. My Saab 9-3 has
gotten stuck two times. After driving my car to the destination and returning to it after 1 hour the first time and three hours the next time. The Saab will not turn over the ignition - it will not start. Last time the AAA drive came and after waiting three hours she started the car. I brought it to the dealer. It is there now and they find nothing wrong with the car $600 later ?

The dealer suggested it is the crank sensor position shaft, but is hestitant to fix it because he doe not want to charge me any more money. Now, I am going to get it back not fixed - and a very expensive maintenance visit. The issue is not solved at all - any suggestions - anyone ?

(I will now have to drive it, wait until it does not start - and then call the mechanic for help -wherever I get stuck ?) Thanks for your empathy...The year is a 01 (Saab 9 -3)

The sensor could quite possible be the reason. It fails often and yields those symptoms.
