water puddles on both sides of 9-5 wagon

I found a nice deal on autotrader.com on a 2000 9-5 turbo wagon and bought it today and could not be happier.
except....
I'm a little puzzled by something. Two water puddles at both sides of the car under where passenger and driver seats are. I discovered a rubber or flexible plastic hose type of deal about 1/2" diameter located about 6-12 inches from side of of car directly underneath. Very clean endings (not cut or ripped or anyhting) but the open end of these seems to be where the water comes out. It looks like they are not out of place or anything...just that I am wondering if they are supposed to be plugged, and perhaps my mechanic inspection yesterday forgot to re-plug??? Or does anyone know if these are there for a reason and if both they and the water puddles are normal? I have yet to go thru all my manual. The water does not continue but lasts for a bit after car has been running, even if it was for 5 minutes with the engine on in the driveway, it still seems like excessive water to accumulate (though I have not put a measuring cup to see how much water comes out) just from having the a/c on....not sure it has to do with the a/c or not.
Thanks for any info on this. I can live with it if is normal. The amount of water loss concerns me though. Inspection had nothiing to say on this and made no reference to water loss, and I did not ask them since I was unaware of this at the time.
Regardless....
I love my new Saab and I am now an "official" Saab enthusiast!!
