saab history pt1

Ok so for those that do not know Saab started off as an aircraft company(still in the game today) they have made some of the most famous european fighters and planes out there

Saab AB is an aviation and defense company based in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden and founded in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1937 in Trollhättan. Its name was an acronym for "Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget" (translates to Swedish Aeroplane Limited), thus written as "SAAB". In 1939 Saab merged with the Linköping based ASJA and the headquarters moved to Linköping. During changes in company ownership in the 1990s, the company name became Saab AB. Originally manufacturing airplanes, the company sought ways in which to diversify its business and in the late http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1940s started to manufacture http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_Automobile. The automobile division was based in Trollhättan. The first car was the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_92001 on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_10, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1947. The company soon developed a reputation for safe and reliable automobiles, with a notable competition history. In the late http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1950s Saab ventured into the computer market with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datasaab. In http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1969 Saab http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merger with the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truck maker http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scania_AB, and between 1969 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1995 the company was called Saab-Scania AB. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_Corporation bought 51 percent of the automobile division http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_Automobile in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990, and acquired the rest a decade later.
