Cell phone integration
OK, so I have all the fancy phone buttons and am WELL aware that the factory believes them to be only usable in the UK, however I have the following inquiries:
1) What is the maximum potential integration I can acheive? In other words, I would love to use all the buttons for the phone, but how many can I actually use? 2) What do I need to buy to get to this utopia (integrated phone)? 3) I'm a do-it-yourselfer, anyone able to direct me to a nicely outlined set of step-by-step instructions? Here's what I have: 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0t (no OnStar). It has the Infotainment option with the telephone dialpad, buttons on the steering wheel and a mic in the head liner. Again - I do not have OnStar (which I never really understood anyhow, considering everyone (including my 7-year old nephew) has a cell phone). I'm thinking bluetooth, but a "wired" handsfree might do the trick as well. I know that this can be done, I just don't have the technical know-how to disect the electronics of my car without creating a rats nest out of the wiring. Thanks again for your help (I know someone will be able to help) -this is one of the most knowledgeable forums I've ever joined! |
