codes 1312 and 1334 I am in mid-inspection/emissions as we speak, thoughts?
 

HI all

My 01 Saab 9-3 2.0 turbo automatic check engine light comes and goes, so today for emissions/inspection we plugged it in and got P1312 and P1334 codes - according to my mechanic as well as the dealer he called they are both DI/spark plug misfire codes.

So we put in new plugs and grabbed a used DI unit off the shelf, startd it up ran it about 25 milesd shut it off, turned it back on, headed off to emissions place and light goes back on, so we grab another used one, replace it again, ran it about 30 miles and so far so good but it was not far enough driving to clear the codes. So now i am home,, oigth is off and i gotta keep running it to about 100 miles...

I know I know buy a NEW DI for $275. Understood, BUT can this be something ELSE?

I do not want to drop $275 for a DI that is not the issue.

Any thoughts would be helpful as I am planning to run the car about 100 miles and try to get it thru emissions today.

Well the second used DI seems to have solved it so far and for the pricew it is totally worth not buying a new one even if this one craps out in a year, if it craps out tomrrow well that would suck, but so far so good.
i will udpate as necessary....
