Coolant temp sensor location
 

Hey everyone. Great to be on this site. I've been a lurker for a while now. Does anyone know the location of the Coolant temp sensor for a 2006 9-3 Aero? I am experience many problems in regards to my Aux. fan automatically turning on during cold engine start up and have found through research that a faulty coolant temp sensor was likely the culprit on previous posts; however, these were all on the 2.0T where the sensor is located near the engine oil dipstick on the right side of the block. I believe the 2.8T would be located somewhere else, and if so.......where?

I disconnected/reconnected the negative batt terminal to reset the ECU while I ordered the sensor. This was 2 weeks ago, and the problem hasn't resurfaced. Oh yeah, my CEL just came on today. Probably unrelated? Thanks guys for all your help in advance. -Jeff
